RELEGATION rivals Chester relied on a first-half frenzy, to overcome the fightback from Loughborough Students, in the second.
The first half opened with a flurry of tries, as Rhys Hayes opened the scoring with a score after three minutes.
The Students replied with a well-worked score by George Worthington, but the home side regained the lead on nine minutes, after retaining a clever kick and recycling the ball for Ollie Powell-Jones to score.
