Cinderford…………… 10
Luctonians…………..35
LUCTONIANS took the glory against an underwhelming Cinderford.
The home side opened the scoring after some poor tackles from the Luctonians defensive line, with Nathan Taylor forcing his way over to give Cinderford an early lead. Sonny Greenman converted.
Luctonians pulled some points back with two penalties scored by star man Tom Jones. This concluded the first-half scoring and kept the game tight heading into the break.
Luctonians got points on the board early in the second half through a try under the posts by Jonty Monk, Cinderford giving away too many penalties in their own 22, which led to the referee pulling the cards out. Jones converted.
Everything went Luctonians way in the second half and they continued to add on the Mitchell points. A move from a line-out sent Link over the line to increase their lead to 11 points.
The momentum stayed with the visitors after a pick and go from Caleb Montgomery gave them a convincing lead heading into the final moments of the game. Bryn Goodall converted this time.
Another well-worked line-out move gave Luctonians their fourth try and sealed the game for the visiting side, Rhys Roberts the try scorer.
