AIDEN Taylor and Charles Groves both scored twice to help Devonport Services earn a narrow but hard-fought 38-34 win over Macclesfield.
Both teams played good rugby throughout the contest but it was The Sporting Blues who opened the scoring after seven minutes through Taylor.
Macclesfield levelled two minutes later through Jamie Harrison.
However, two tries in quick succession from Groves and Richard Goldsby-West put the hosts into a commanding 19-5lead.
