AN excellent performance in gusty conditions saw Tynedale outgun Macclesfield to put themselves in the driving seat for a promotion play-off place.
Three first-half tries from hooker Ben Haigh paved the way for a hard-earned win which thrilled Tynedale director of rugby Peter Southern.
He said: “I was delighted with the way we performed, especially in the second half against the strong wind.
