BILLINGHAM were left to rue a promising start as Hull Ionians produced a ruthless second-half performance to storm to victory.
The visitors opened strongly with a Sam Pocklington try, before Adam Brown crossed in the 11th minute.
Although the conversion was missed, Billingham continued to push, and Lauchlan Hill’s well-taken try in the 19th minute, converted by Luke Wilson, put them 12–5 ahead.
