Ionians impress but Otley offer hot contest

DELIGHTED HULL Ionians romped home with a seven-try success, at the hands of hosts Otley.
Otley had to settle for a Joe Rowntree penalty, early on, as the only result of a sustained ten minutes of pressure.
Ionians response was rapid as two attacks on the left-hand flank, within four minutes, brought tries from Sam Pocklington and Cameron Burnhill.
More Otley pressure then reduced the deficit, when Ryan Gibson drove his way over from close range, with Rowntree adding the extras.
