FYLDE were the clear winners, as they impressively saw off Scunthorpe in an empathic scoreline, which reflected their style of play.
Visitors Fylde had started the stronger of the two side, as the Lincolnshire outfit failed to regather the kick-off and David Fair-brother swooped in with barely a minute on the clock.
These may have been ominous signs for Scunthorpe, who have in the past capitulated under pressure, but this was a different Scunthorpe working hard in both attack and defence.
