Ionians hold on as Dale take it to the death

HULL Ionians headed home with the coveted points, as they clung on during a testing final ten minutes.
Ionians had opened the scoring with a try from centre Greg Minikin which Ben Smith converted.
A spirited Dale struck back, as Ollie Riddiough darted over after a fine move. Archie Addon’s conversion brought the scores level.
The visitors then had a purple patch, with tries from Cameron Burnhill and Tom Winch. Smith successfully converted the second, seeing his side establish a 12-point lead.
