PRESTON Grasshoppers’ blend of experience and finishing power proved too much for Billingham, as they ran out deserved winners in a lively encounter.
Billingham, full of energy and ambition, more than played their part in a match that ebbed and flowed before the Grasshoppers pulled clear in the final quarter.
It took only eight minutes for the hosts to make their mark.
Player-of-the-match, hooker Harry Holden finished neatly in the corner, with Gregory Smith converting.
