IN A bruising encounter at Lightfoot Green, Wharfdale scraped to a narrow win over Preston Grasshoppers in a game of fine margins and big collisions.
Hoppers were on the scoreboard first when Josh Ree slotted a penalty after some early pressure, and after 15 minutes they had their first try. Greg Smith dinked a free ball under the posts, and Ally Murray was the first to react.
