THERE was nothing to separate these sides at their end of their basement battle.
Harrogate raced into an early lead when a Rory McNab break sent Kristan Dobson in.
Then a wild pass on the Tynedale 22 allowed Martin Dodds to go in unopposed, both tries converted by Tom Steene for a 14-0 lead after 16 minutes.
Tynedale replied with a well-worked try from Cameron Grant, which he also converted, before a line-out drive brought a try for Rhys Beeckmans, with Grant’s conversion levelling the scores.
