Preston hop to victory in insipid clash at Ionians

PRESTON Grasshoppers pulled off an unlikely win in an uneventful clash with Hull Ionians at Brantingham Park.
During the opening half hour it looked like a case of how many points the hosts would win by, such was their dominance.
They had only scored two tries, both from catch and drives finished by George Mewburn and Scott Westwood, and added a penalty from Lewis Minikin, but had scorned a couple of opportunitie.
