Hull Ionians overcame Sheffield Tigers to set themselves up perfectly for an all-important clash with third-placed Otley next week.
Ionians had to overcome the loss of captain James Sanderson after eight minutes and, soon after that, their number eight Declan Thompson had to be taken to hospital with a head injury, but the team rallied for the win.
The Tigers looked to play from deep with the wind at their backs, but stout defence kept the score at 0-0 for nearly all of the first half, until the Ionians were finally able to unlock...
