Sheffield hung on to claim a well-fought victory over a wasteful Preston Grasshoppers side at Lightfoot Green Lane.
The visitors piled on the pressure in the early exchanges, which saw Robert Fawdry score near the posts after Will Smith’s line break, with Will Hodgson converting.
But Hoppers fought back in the 15th minute after Jake Squirrell broke through and, after a few phases, Chris Taylor powered over, with Will Hunt’s conversion levelling the scores.
