Two-try Lewis Minikin bagged 19 points to help Hull Ionians follow-up last week’s win over Sheffield with a bonus-point victory over Sheffield Tigers.
Ionians were quick out of the blocks and, with more composure, could have had two tries in the opening minutes, but their dominance of the early exchanges only gave them a threepoint lead.
This was erased by a penalty from Mark Ireland on the first incursion Tigers made into Ionians territory. That score could have doubled, but the ball came back off the posts and Ionians...
