FYLDE held the edge in this contest after setting a blistering early pace.
The away side’s winger opened the scoring with an unconverted try in the fourth minute, with Hadfield sprinting over the line in the top right hand corner.
This was followed four minutes later as Hadfield broke through Loughborough’s defensive line and handed over to Sturgess to score a try, converted by Smith.
Fylde scored again in the 16th minute to lead by 19 points.
