SCUNTHORPE made a bright start with a penalty from Paul Cook to open proceedings but eventually succumbed to an impressive Fylde performance.
It did look promising when Tom Foster took a quick-tap penalty and darted over to make it 10-0, but Fylde started to play some good phase rugby and Tom Carlton finished off a good move with a try converted by Greg Smith.
Yet another Fylde penalty allowed Cook three points.
Fylde struck back with their second try from wing Tom Grimes, converted by Smith.
