TWO debut tries for teenager Will Roberts took Tynedale to victory in a Yorkshire derby.
Tynedale always had the edge in a scrappy encounter, but too many mistakes made the result a lot closer than it should have been.
Tynedale started like an express train, full-back Jake Rodgers gathering a hopeful punt in the first minute and skated down the wing to score.
Four minutes later, fullback Rob Parker refused to give up on a kick into the Wharfedale in goalarea and won the race to touch down for a try he converted himself.
