Fylde falter to lose ground at the top

WHARFEDALE sprung a surprise by beating promotion- chasing Fylde.
Wharfedale started with great confidence and scored within the first few minutes when a successful catch-and-drive was finished off by Dan Stockdale, with Jack Blakeney-Edwards adding the conversion.
Fylde gradually got a foothold in the game and were rewarded with two penalties converted by Greg Smith.
Mistakes were beginning to creep into Dale’s play as they lost a lineout on halfway and this allowed Fylde to put together 14 phases...
