IONIANS head coach Martyn Wood had no excuses after his league-leading side were comfortably beaten by Leicester Lions in dire conditions.
“I thought they played well. They were more physical up front and they deserved it”, he said, after his side were kept scoreless for the first time this season.
Wood added: “A game of rugby is about hanging in there and they hung in there.
“We did well up front and well in the scrum and maybe we could have got more out of that.”
