A SCRAPPY performance on a wet pitch was enough to give Tynedale victory over strugglers Luctonians. But the Northumbrians missed out on a bonus point to lose ground on play-off place rivals Sedgley Park.
Tynedale made a slew of silly mistakes, but had too much class for the visitors from Hereford.
It was Luctonians who started the brighter, winning a couple of early penalties to set up forward drives from lineouts. And from one of these hooker Jordan Page touched down with four minutes gone for an unconverted try.
