TYNEDALE handled the conditions better on a day when spectators could not see through the wind and snow at times.
Wharfedale opened the scoring when a Rhys Lovegrove kick seemed to leave Tynedale frozen.
Any one of three players could have picked up the ball and scored. Robbie Davidson won the race and Tom Barrett landed a superb conversion.
It was not long before the Wharfedale scrum was driving Tynedale back and, after a warning from the ref, a penalty try was awarded.
