Macclesfield edge battle of forwards

TRIES from Samuel Moss and Ryan Parkinson were enough as Macclesfield edged out Lions in a tightly- fought forward battle.
Macclesfield were first on the scoreboard through a try from Moss. A rumbling maul sucked in the Lions defence and an exchange with Nick Allsop allowed the hooker to score despite wet conditions making handling difficult.
Lions were on the scoreboard midway through the first half. William Roberts crossed after great running from Aaron Martin and Harry Key in the centres.
