OTLEY soaked up immense pressure from Wharfedale and secured a valiant victory, despite having their backs to the wall for much of the encounter.
After Robert Davidson missed an early penalty for the hosts, the visitors struck the first blow on 11 minutes through fly-half Joe Rowntree, after the Otley pack had secured good field position.
Rowntree converted his own try, before both he and Davidson misses chances by sending penalties wide of the posts.
