Red card leaves Worthing in hole

CANTERBURY ran riot with six second-half tries to overcome 14-man Worthing. Worthing full-back David McIlwaine was shown a red card for foul play after 46 minutes and his exit paved the way for Canterbury to run away with the game.
Jack Maslen had opened the scoring for Worthing with an eighthminute try. Harry Sayers levelled only for the Worthing wing to dot down for a second time.
Maslen’s second score made it 10-5 to the visitors after just 12 minutes, but Aaron Cooper reduced the deficit with a try.
