Former England full-back Nick Abendanon continues to climb the coaching ladder in France and will join a new-look coaching team at Bayonne this summer.
Abendanon, 36, who was a member of England’s 2007 World Cup final squad, has been on the coaching staff at ambitious ProD2 outfit Vannes.
The South Africanborn former Bath man moved into coaching after ending his playing career at Vannes in 2021 and has been signed up by Top 14 side Bayonne to coach the backs.
