The Bulls reached the Champions Cup quarter-finals for the first time in their history and sounded a warning to the rest.
They raced into a 21-0 lead with tries from Sebastian de Klerk, Embrose Papier and Marcell Coetzee before Lyon finally got on the scoreboard, with Martin Page-Relo scoring.
