England & Saracens wing Noah Caluori vows to return stronger than before after injury

England and Saracens wing Noah Caluori has vowed to return “stronger than before” after undergoing surgery to correct a wrist injury that hampered him throughout his breakthrough campaign.

The 19-year-old Saracens flyer, below, revealed on social media that he had been playing with the problem for the past eight months before finally going under the knife.

Posting a picture from his hospital bed with his right forearm in a cast, Caluori reassured supporters that he was already focused on his recovery.

“Surgery done. Been playing with this injury for eight months now. Gonna be working hard to get back stronger than before,” he wrote.

Remarkable season

The operation comes after a remarkable season in which Caluori established himself as one of English rugby‘s brightest young talents.

Despite his injury, he finished the campaign as the Prem’s joint-leading try scorer with 18 touchdowns.

Caluori also impressed on the international stage, representing England U20s and England A before making an unforgettable senior debut in the Nations Championship.

The winger marked his first England appearance with a try in the emphatic 73-8 victory over Fiji, underlining his enormous potential.

England coach Byron McGuigan wished him well, replying: “Air Caluori, rest up, see you soon.”
