Former Falcon, Ben Redshaw, scored a hat-trick of tries as Gloucester comfortably earned a European Champions Cup spot by securing an eighth-placed finish with a bonus-point victory over Newcastle Red Bulls.
This didn’t look likely at the end of the first quarter when they looked half asleep to deservedly trail 14-7 but a four-try blitz just before half-time turned the game firmly on its head.
