Dan McFarland set to take the reins at Newcastle Red Bulls next season

Newcastle Red Bulls have confirmed the appointment of Dan McFarland from Kobelco Steelers as their head coach next season.

Newcastle Red Bulls have confirmed the appointment of Dan McFarland from Kobelco Steelers as their head coach next season.
The 54-year-old former Scotland assistant coach will arrive from Japan in the summer after the conclusion of the Top League season.
McFarland will lead a coaching setup with current caretaker boss Stephen Jones, below, reverting to an attack coach role.
Benetton head coach Calum MacRae also returns to the club to take charge of defence.
