Christian Wade is back and hungry to chase down Chris Ashton’s record as the all-time leading try-scorer in the Prem.
Wade made his debut for Newcastle Red Bulls in last night’s European Challenge Cup clash against Lions and now has his sights set on the three Prem games over Christmas and New Year.
Despite having a three-year break playing American football with the practice squad of the Buffalo Bills, the 34-year-old winger has scored 93 tries in the Premiership, eight behind Ashton’s tally of 101 – including 11 in 14 Prem games for Gloucester last season.
