Radford gives the credit to simpler defence

Northampton defence coach Lee Radford cites simplified structure as the key to his side’s turn in fortunes this season.

In recent years, Saints were top in the attacking stats but last season they had the second worst defence in the Premiership, conceding 84 tries at 4.2 a game.
Fast forward a year and the Saints have drastically improved, thanks to the arrival of decorated former rugby league player and coach Radford.
