Simmonds award snub is shocker

CONGRATULATIONS to Exeter’s second team for beating a full strength Bath 28-11 in the final of the Anglo Welsh cup. However, despite the Chiefs’ achievement, the sense of a damp squib competition was unavoidable at a halfempty Kingsholm.
It was compounded when Premiership Rugby – who run the the ill-conceived tournament – announced that Newcastle wing Adam Radwan had been voted Anglo-Welsh ‘breakthrough player of the season’.
