Esher …………….35
B’ham Mose …24
ESHER extended their winning run to four games with a near-flawless display in a bonus-point victory over Birmingham Moseley.
James Lang and James Williams exchanged early penalties before Jacques Le Roux crashed over from short range to give Moseley a 10-3 lead after 15 minutes.
The home team responded well however, with Spencer Sutherland scoring under the posts to bring the scores level and crossing in the corner two minutes later to give his side a 15-10 lead.
Esher looked dangerous with ball in hand, and the impressive Lang added his side’s third on the half-hour mark with a show-and-go from close range. His conversion gave Esher a deserved 22- 10 half-time lead. Moseley came out firing after the break, Tom Fidler burrowing over and Williams converting to reduce the deficit to five.
Lang kicked two penalties as Esher turned the screw after the hourmark, before Andrew Garner produced a stunning solo break and smartly offloaded to James Beckett for the bonus point score, Lang converting to take the score to 35-17.
Moseley launched a late siege and AlexGrove crossed for a consolation score but Esher held on for the win.
