Short’s fast start gets Glouc going

Gloucestershire inflicted a big defeat on Devon at Plymouth Albion, but finished behind Dorset & Wiltshire in Pool 2.
They made an excellent start when hooker Joe Short went over after five minutes. Tom Webb missed with the conversion and Devon were back on terms after 12 minutes when Max Keen scored but again the conversion by Cole Monaghan failed.
That was pretty much as good as it got for the hosts, who conceded a second try to Short after 19 minutes, this once converted by Webb.
