ESSEX and Sussex both picked up back-to-back wins in Pool Two to set up a winner-takes-all-clash next weekend in Thurrock.
Surrey pushed Essex hard in Esher, with the visitors eventually prevailing 31-26.
In a losing cause, Regan Botham was outstanding for the home side, the Wimbledon flyhalf scoring two tries and kicking three conversions for a personal points tally of 16.
