CITY of Oxford College’s Activate ACE Rugby Academy is determined to change perceptions around player development, with head of boys rugby Tom Redfern and girls programme lead Oliver Wilson insisting their model is widening access and producing elite talent.
Despite a growing track record – including more than 30 players earning professional contracts in five years – Redfern admits the programme is still under the radar.
