LIAM Checksfield hit a hat-trick as Darlington Mowden Park picked up a positive result in their final pre-season fixture against Tynedale.
Ben Frankland opened the scoring for Darlington as they burst into a two try lead, with Henry Hadfield getting the second.
Adam Todhunter snapped back with a converted try for Tynedale, but Darlington showed their class against a resilient and youthful Tynedale.
Checksfield’s first two tries added more security to DMP’s lead, but Tynedale continued to chip away at their deficit.
