North Walsham….26 Shelford …………….19

proved too strong for Shelford as they edged a thrilling and competitive contest in Norfolk.

The Vikings started very brightly with Matt Hodgson at 10 pulling the strings in the early exchanges and bagged himself the first try.

The Peacocks responded almost immediately with new tight head Bradley Robinson finishing off a set piece from the line out.

Then Shelford scored again after multiple phases and great handling, with loose head prop Ollie Emsley touching down with a cheeky juggle of the ball.

North Walsham responded immediately after a mix up on Shelford's line out and crisp hands left to right from the visitors released their winger Jim Reily to showcase his pace and score under the posts.

Winger Owain Collard intercepted and ran the length of the pitch to score an unconverted try to bring the score to 19-12.

No.8 Suliasi Vueta acrobatically touched down to send the home crowd in a chorus of Peacock cheers.

North Walsham were to have the last word with a well worked try putting winger Jordan Mustard through under the posts.
