Ampthill hosted Welsh Premiership Cup holders Newport at Dillingham Park and named 13 debutants in the match day 23.
Pre-game head coach Paul Turner said that while it would be great to get a win, this match was “about trying new systems, running what they had practiced in training and building chemistry in the whole playing unit”.
