Newly promoted Preston Grasshoppers began their pre-season programme with a home win against Kendal on Thursday.
The Grasshoppers have been promoted to National League 2 North ahead of next season, while Kendal have moved up to Regional 1 North West.
As with most pre-season games, this was a night of players changing in and out and swapping positions, so the final score was less important than the performances.
