IN THE battle between first and third, league leaders Rochford Hundred just edged it 12-3 at home to Wimbledon. Adam Ferrier and Harry Hudson were the tryscorers with Cameron Greenhall adding one conversion.
With Rochford having failed to take the bonus point Guernsey, 52-10 bonus-try winners at CS Stags, remain in second but are now just one point behind the leaders.
The top three sides in the competition are well clear of the chasing pack although Wimbledon have slipped back a touch after yesterday’s defeat and despite grabbing a losing bonus point are now eight points adrift of secondplaced Guernsey.
Anthony Armstrong led the charge with a hat-trick with Doug Horrocks over for two followed by Matt Armstrong, Tom Teasdale and Luke Barker who claimed one each, Owen Thomas was successful with six conversions.
Sevenoaks and Hertford fought out a 10- 10 draw at Knole Paddock, Carl Kelly crossed for the home side with Tom Gray knocking over a conversion and a penalty. Charlie Parkhouse scored both Hertford tries.
Dorking took the honours 46-12 away to Bedford Athletic. Darragh Chambers, Cameron Osbourne, Toby McCrea, JP Alberts, Killian Wilson, Andy Ramsden and Ryan Jeffrey were the Dorking tryscorers with Wilson also slotting three conversions and a penalty and Ramsden one conversion.
Brighton continue to improve, this time with a 16-13 win away at Tring. James Trivis and Ollie Smith were the tryscorers with David McIlwaine landing two penalties. Jack Flanagan crossed for the home side, converted by Will Mitchell to add to two earlier penalties.
Sidcup increased Guildford‘s woes, beating the bottom club 32-17 at Crescent Farm. Oliver Vidgeon, Andre Patterson and James Poland with two were the home tryscorers, Josh Twyford hitting three conversions to add to two first-half penalties.
Tunbridge Wells were 29-17 victors away to London Irish Wild Geese. Mike Doherty, Ryan Taylor-Dennehy, Mike Hathaway and Max Hobbs were the tryscorers for the visitors with Frank Reynolds claiming nine points with the boot.
For Wild Geese, Willie Lafolafo went in for two converted by Lam Perkins to add to an early penalty from Liam Prescott.
