Conor Murray handed first start of the season for Munster

The Ireland scrum-half’s comeback from a neck injury is officially complete

have been handed a boost prior to the Champions Cup next weekend with Conor Murray declared fit to start against Edinburgh in the PRO14.
The Ireland scrum-half made his comeback from a neck injury last Sunday by coming off the bench against Zebre for his first appearance of the 2018-19 season.
Murray will run out at Musgrave Park alongside Chris Farrell, who also earns his first start of the season, to take on Richard Cockerill’s side.
The centre is back to partner Rory Scannell in the midfield having been sidelined since the Six Nations in March.
Peter O’Mahony returns from international duty to slot in as captain in one of 11 changes made by Munster head coach Johann van Graan.
Two other members of Munster’s international contingent, Andrew Conway and Keith Earls, are also back to take position on the wings.
Munster wrapped up the bonus-point by defeating Zebre 32-7 and victory over Edinburgh would continue their momentum into next rounds of the Champions Cup pool stages.
The Irish province face a double-header with reigning French champions Castres, first welcoming them to Thomond Park a week on Sunday before heading to Stade Pierre-Fabre on December 15.
