BILLINGHAM’S unbeaten run came to an end as they went down 26-23 away at Rossendale.
Matt Blackman notched two and Phil Mills one, with James Bramhall slotting two conversions.
There was also a penalty try for the home side.
Martin Hopley and Peter Evans (two) crossed for Billingham, with Evans also kicking two conversions and three penalties.
Blaydon take over pole position following their 42- 36 win at home to Harrogate but it took a converted try in the closing stages to take the game, coming back from 21-36 down at the break.
