Awesome Alnwick hold off Blaydon

IN THE battle of the newcomers relegated at the end of last season Blaydon beat promoted Alnwick 28- 13 despite losing David Kyle to a red card.
James Cooney, Rob Landeryou, Cam Bell and Liam Wright were the try scorers for the visitors all converted by Dan Taylor.
Hamish Burn crossed for the hosts’ only try converted by Callum Burn to add to two first-half penalties from Alex Robson.
Billingham edged it 16- 14 away to Harrogate. Matt Kirkby was the try scorer and Evans did the rest with three penalties and a conversion.
