Macdonald hat-trick not enough as Quins close out victory

A FLYING start by the Sharks was not enough.
They scored two tries in the opening quarter through winger Kenny Thomas and Claudia Macdonald who had the pace to finish from 40 metres. Both conversions fell short.
Harlequins responded well however and scored a try of their own through Aldora Itunu. They grabbed the momentum to level when Shaunagh Brown finished from similarly close range.
The score stayed the same until the 40th minute, when Chloe Edwards powered over. The try was converted for a 10-17 interval lead.
