Sale Sharks are set to hand axed Ulster fly-half Paddy Jackson a route back into rugby, and are also working on a deal for his former team-mate Stuart Olding.
The Ireland internationals had their contracts at the Kingspan Stadium terminated by Ulster and the IRFU despite both players being acquitted of rape at a nine-week trial in Belfast.
The pair had been accused of raping a woman at party at Jackson’s home in 2016, but after a length trial the jury returned not guilty verdicts.
Offers have been made by clubs across the English Channel in France, however it now seems Sale Sharks will be the destination for the 26-year-old fly-half Jackson and 25-year-old centre Olding.
According to the Telegraph, a cut-price deal is on the cards for the Aviva Premiership club, with Jackson set to pen a deal worth under £200,000.
