Blaine Scully signs new long-term deal with Cardiff Blues

The continue to plan for the future by having Blaine Scully become the latest player to commit for the long term at Arms Park.
The Eagles skipper has become a firm fans' favourite in the capital and joins Seb Davies, Josh Turnbull, Rhun Williams and Corey Domachowski in penning new deals.
The winger left in 2015 and said his move to had been a career move which gave him personal comfort and excitement at what could be achieved with their current group.
“I feel very fortunate and proud to call myself a Cardiff Blue,” Scully said.
“Over the past three years, Cardiff has become a second home – a fantastic place to live and play.
“It is a true honour to put on the jersey, run out onto the pitch and play in front of our great fans and passionate community.”
Scully is a senior member of personnel within a Blues squad developing a young core of players, a role the American says he is relishing in helping the club turn around their fortunes after two wins in seven matches leaves their bottom of Conference A in the PRO14 standings.
“My team-mates are a talented playing group, committed and competitive. We have an exciting core of young talent coming through our ranks so the future is bright.
“I am committed to helping the Blues reach its potential as both a team and region,” 29-year-old Scully affirmed.
The Blues welcome to Arms Park on Saturday knowing a victory could lift them up into fourth.
