JOHAN Ackermann might just be able to galvanise Gloucester judging by their cliff-edge 28-21 win over champions Exeter at Kingsholm on Friday night.
The victory was secured by new signing Jason Woodward’s last-minute try but the South African coach put his finger on why his team delivered on his first Premiership match in charge.
“I am so pleased with the character the guys showed, and the effort that went into the game,” Ackermann said.
