I’m fascinated why Maro Itoje having a rest at international level this summer has become a major discussion in the media, and in social media and comments sections.
It’s a bizarre “will he, won’t he” discussion, and the indecisive messaging from the England camp/RFU is terrible.

What makes it so strange is that you can plot an England player’s path in terms of the number of games they play at international level and for their club pretty accurately, and adjustments to be made for injuries should also be reasonably clear-cut.
